I’m Striving to be Just Like You
I am a relatively new blogger with 3 months under my belt in the big leagues of personal finance blogging, well I am in the minor leagues, the blogs I read are the major leagues. Before I started this blog I have always been interested in personal finance, paying off debt, investing, and financial independence. Now that I am putting my stories about my personal finance experience and opinions, I have more and more respect for those who are sharing their own views. I was riding the train home from work which happens every day Monday-Friday, this is where some of my ideas for blogs begin, among the middle class, tourists, and homeless of Chicago. I started thinking about how much I want to strive to be where many of you are in your personal finances and blog writings. It didn’t stop there, I went on thinking of the great blogs and income that are out there and even to those that are struggling financially but shared a great story about how they are overcoming debt like myself. So I decided that I needed to write a post about all the great things I admire and let them know, I’m striving to be just like you!
Fifighter I’m striving to own 5 rental income properties all over the United States just like FI Fighter and one of my favorite posts asking Can I retire with 100K invested in real estate today? I strive to be included on his “Inspiration” list of blogs, without asking because then am I really an inspiration? Also this isn’t asking right…….
BudgetsareSexy Oh man where do I start, he shares with you how to make extra cash Hustling, and well the man rocks a Mohawk and while I’m not striving to grow one, i’m certainly impressed, that’s Rock Star material. Which leads me to another fine treasure, Rock Star Finance a collection of the best personal finance articles on the web today, I was lucky enough to be included here, the articles included were 12,000 Days till I Retire and Caddying for Michael Jordan. Probably the most important to me above everything was when I first started, he responded when I emailed him with questions, I know everyone says they will respond or help you out, but J Money emailed me back and gave me encouraging words, I’m striving to just like you.
Luke1428 I have a plan to pay off my mortgage early, but he has done exactly that and this is why I strive to be like Luke1428. Here are 4 reasons why he paid off his mortgage early and Reason #4: Flexibility, Freedom and Choices is on the top of my list.
Club Thrifty Club Thrifty says to “Stop spending, and start living” what a great quote to base your writing and your financial life on. Holly at Club Thrifty is at another level of blogging, she writes for the first blog I ever started reading over at Get Rich Slowly, I strive to have a great website that I can share my message and make an income.
Financial Samurai I look at the things he has accomplished with his website, creating a network, creating great content like the 10% Income Rule on cars and many other posts that are thought provoking and controversial which makes for a fun read, I strive to be like you.
Mad Fientist When I read the Mad FIentist(FI for Financial Independence), it is like I am back in college with my favorite professor just feeding with me knowledge, I’m constantly reading and rereading his items on Retiring Earlier and the Ultimate Retirement Account. I strive to be able to use this great advice and increase my early retirement date.
CNA Finance I had one of my best experiences from Josh at CNA Finance, he gave me the opportunity to write a guest post, it was one of my favorite experiences during my time as a blogger. I really feel like he cares and wants to help people, I strive to be an MVP like CNA Finance.
Planting Our Pennies When I read about the POP’s(the awesome looking cartoon on the right) I see so much of ourselves minus the cat of course.
They do fun things like go hang out with Warren Buffett and share how they are growing their Net Worth.
There are so many great bloggers who are sharing personal stories, financial tips, and more, thank you for helping, sharing, commenting, and giving financial and personal motivation while I strive to be like you.
Ralph Waldo Emerson — ‘In my walks, every man I meet is my superior in some way, and in that I learn from him.’
Who do you strive to be like in the personal finance world of bloggers? Who has helped you along the way? Share with us…..
